Goose Creek Studio is exhibiting work members of the Seven Hill Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild during January and February. A wide variety of needle arts, including cross stitch, crewel, needlepoint and others, is included in the exhibit. The ANG meets monthly to look at members projects and share new ideas. An opening reception with the artists will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2-5pm. In addition to running their business Blue Valley Landscaping, father and son Dale and Josh Ridgeway create unique works of art from wood found on their Bedford County property. The Ridgeway’s turned bowls, sculpture, and furniture can be seen at Goose Creek Studio, 302 Court Street in Bedford. The Friends of the Bedford Public Library will hold their Winter Book Sale on Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the second floor of Bedford Central Library. Donations for this event are now being encouraged. Please help support the Friends in this effort and take home some great reading material in the process.
